new series!

Hey y’all! A lot of you have asked where the blog posts have been recently, and I’m happy to say I’m back and starting a new series!!

If someone would have told me what this past year would have looked like, I truly would not have believed them. There have been difficult lows, but also exciting highs.

Nevertheless, through this season, God continues to amaze me and so graciously teaches me. I can not wait to share with y’all what the Lord has been reminding me of, and I pray it encourages you with whatever season of life you find yourself in.

So drumroll please…

I am thrilled to announce the new series title!

 …BUT GOD

And yes, the three dots are not a typo.

Those represent everything that may come before the phrase. All the pain, heartache, trials, excuses, circumstances, and difficulties that can overwhelm us. Except, it doesn’t stop there, because God has taken all of that and graciously blessed us with hope, love, peace, and more.

This idea was born while listening to the song Alive by Big Daddy Weave. The radio turned on, per usual, jamming out to some worship music, I heard these lyrics from the chorus come loud and clear through the speaker.

But God, rich in mercy

You came to save me

Now I’m alive

But God, strong and mighty

You reached down for me

So I could rise

Now I’m alive

This song talks about how we were dead in our sin, lost and without hope. But God saved us. But God, strong and powerful, made things new and right so we could have life.

It is easy to look at life and see all the challenges and pain around us, especially the struggles in our own lives, but God (see what I did there haha) is stronger, greater, and in control over every situation.

We can either look at our circumstances through the lenses of seemingly insurmountable mountains and freak out, or we can look at the insurmountable, authoritative power of God and His ability to work in all situations.

I have learned what it looks like to choose the latter, and I pray the same for you.

An abundance of joy and peace in this life can be found through a relationship with God and experiencing first hand all the “…but God” moments He graciously extends to us.

So over the course of the next few weeks, we will journey through the following topics:

  • Once a slave to sin…but God redeemed and saved.

  • Vulnerable, defenseless, and in bondage…but God protects, defends, and delivers.

  • Hopeless and in despair…but God rejoices over and restores us.

  • Uncared for…but God provides and supplies.

I am thrilled to have you join us!
